Treated the rust with Corroseal rust converter. Amazing product that turns the rust almost black. Mainly did it to slow it down until I could paint, but now I'm really liking the look.

See the post under the pictures for info on the build.

Going to straighten the bumpers, but leave them a little rusty.
What's left of the headliner.
Going to replace the paneling with masonite with padded black faux leather. Finishing the metal work for the firewall and floor now.
Headers dump into 2.5" collectors, then into shorty turbo mufflers. Ran 2.5" pipes out to just in front of the rear tires, welded all the way. Fiberglass motorcycle baffles inside the pipes just in front of the tips which can be removed.

This is the before picture! I will update this blog as I progress with turning this car into my dream hot rod.

This 1960 Rambler American Deluxe wagon was stored in a barn for 13 years by the original owner. The second owner cut the unibody down to fit on a shortened S10 Blazer frame.

Those are vintage Cragar wheels, 14x6 in the front and 14x7 in the rear.

This is under the hood. A 355 Chevy small block with double hump heads, Comp cam, Edelbrock Performer intake and carb.
